Watson said he speaks some French, though “not as well” as she used to. She  went to Oxford with her mother and brother, she attended Dragon School, staying there until 2003. From the age of six, she wanted to become an actress, and trained at the Dragon School. Oxford Department. from Stagecoach Theater Arts, a part-time theater school where she studied song, dance and theater.


As a child, she gained fame with her first professional acting role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, having previously performed only in school plays.

Family Life

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Paris, France, to English lawyers Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson. Watson lived in Maisons-Laffitte near Paris. Her parents divorced when she was young and Watson moved to England to live with her mother in Oxfordshire, while she spent weekends with her father in London.

Watson identifies as a feminist. She has been promoting girls’ education, visiting Bangladesh and Zambia to do so. In July 2014, she was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill ambassador.
