Gwyneth Kate Paltrow was born on September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles, California. The daughter of Tony Award-winning actress Blythe Danner and television producer Bruce Paltrow, Paltrow grew up like no stranger to the world of Hollywood. After living in Los Angeles, Paltrow moved to New York at age 11. The precocious young blonde made her stage debut when she was just 5 years old in a theater in the Berkshire Mountains, Massachusetts, where her mother performed in the summer.
Paltrow has also made a name for herself in the gossip columns with many published relationships and breakups with both Pitt and Ben Affleck, the Academy Award-winning co-writer of Good Will Hunting (1997).
In 2003 Paltrow married Chris Martin, frontman of British rock band Coldplay. Their daughter, Apple Blythe Alison Martin, was born in May 2004. Two years later, the couple welcomed a son, Moses Bruce Anthony Martin. In March 2014, Paltrow announced through GOOP that she and Martin had divorced.
Paltrow wrote a foreword to a Ross Matthews book, Man Up! Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence. In 2016 Paltrow released a cookbook: It’s All Easy: Delicious Weekday Recipes for the Super-Busy Home Cook.
