Zuckerberg developed an interest in computers at an early age; when he was about 12, he used Atari BASIC to create an email program he named “Zucknet”. His father used the program in his dental office so that the receptionist could inform him of a new patient without shouting across the room. The family also used Zucknet to communicate around the house.
Zuckerberg dropped out of college after his sophomore year to concentrate on the site, whose user base grew to over two billion people, making Zuckerberg a billionaire on several occasions.
Zuckerberg is currently married to Priscilla Chan, a Chinese American medical student he met at Harvard, since 2012. Zuckerberg has two daughters, Max, born November 30, 2015, and August, born August 28, 2017.
In a public post on Facebook, Zuckerberg launched the Internet.org project in late August 2013. He explained that the initiative’s primary goal is to provide internet access to the five billion people who are not connected at the launch date.
