Dr. Keneth Hall is a globally recognized, board-certified surgeon, renowned for his expertise in minimally invasive, robotic, bariatric, and cosmetic surgeries. His specializations include complex gastrointestinal tract operations, abdominal wall reconstruction, and a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgeries. With a surgical residency at Stony Brook Medical Center in 2011 and 4 prestigious surgical fellowship endowments, Dr. Hall’s training is extensive.
He also completed an advanced surgical fellowship at NYU Langone Long Island and holds fellowships with the American College of Surgery, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
Hall started from humble beginnings, growing up on the island of Jamaica. He began schooling at the age of 2 and was voted “most industrious “ for his contributions to his class. He was the only person from that class to pass the high school entrance exams at only 9 years old. He ultimately overcame many obstacles along the way including a debilitating speech impediment and couldn’t even say his own name.
To make matters worse he attained one of the lowest scores his first year in high school. Motivated by his parents who were both teachers, as well as earnest prayer, Hall quickly realized his potential., ditching the speech impediment along the way. Hall later emigrated to the US in 1995 to live with his father and continued his childhood passion of becoming a surgeon. He completed an undergraduate degree at York College with BS with honors and a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Hall’s leadership and expertise have been recognized in his roles at NYU. As the director of Bariatric Quality improvement and the chair of the Committee on Obesity, he made significant contributions to the field.
His tenure as the Director of Surgical Simulations and Innovations further demonstrated his commitment to advancing medical technologies. He was also selected as part of the faculty to develop the curriculum for the inaugural NYU Langone Long Island medical school class, a testament to his academic prowess and dedication to medical education.
Currently, Dr. Hall holds the esteemed positions of Chairman of Surgery and Medical Director of the Hernia, Wound Care, and Bariatric Centers at Rome Health in Central NY. His appointment as the first African American to hold this position is a significant milestone.
Dr. Hall is also the visionary founder of Escape Medical PC, a groundbreaking full-service medical spa in Rome, NY. This unique facility offers a range of state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures and surgeries, emphasizing aesthetic excellence and a holistic approach to individual care. Dr. Hall’s leadership and dedication to advancing medical technologies position Escape Medical PC as a leader in both cosmetic and therapeutic medical services.
His ambitious vision includes launching two additional locations by the end of 2024, ten by 2025, and an IPO by 2030. Widely featured in the media and a renowned motivational speaker, Dr. Hall has earned numerous accolades, including recognition on the cover of Millennium Magazine by Marquis Who’s Who in 2020, Top Doctor Awards in 2018 and 2019, NY Times Magazine Rising Star Award and The Network Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award in 2016 amongst many others. Hall has been seen on multiple TV stations over the years and many of his articles printed in numerous newspapers. His contributions to medical science are extensive, with numerous peer reviewed publications, and presentations at global scientific conferences.
