Willard Carroll Smith Jr. is an American actor, producer and rapper.
The only member of One Direction born out of England, Horan has been a huge hit with his band members, their albums Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013) and Four (2014) which all debuted atop the Billboard 200.
Smith started rapping at the age of 12, emulating heroes like Grandmaster Flash, but his rhymes tingled with a comedic element that would later become his trademark. At the age of 16, Smith met future employee Jeff Townes at a party. The duo befriended and DJ duo Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince was born.
He is the first hip-hop star to be nominated for an academy award.
Smith has been married twice. His first marriage, with Sheree Zampino in 1992, lasted only three years, but produced a son, Willard Smith III (b. 1992), also known as Trey. He has been married to actress Jada Pinkett Smith since 1997. The couple’s son, Jaden, was born in 1998, and their daughter, Willow, was born in 2000.
Smith donated $ 4,600 to Democrat Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. On December 11, 2009, Smith and his wife hosted the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway to celebrate Obama’s victory of the award.
