Singer/Song Writer

Niall James Horan is an Irish singer and songwriter.

The only member of One Direction born out of England, Horan has been a huge hit with his band members, their albums Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013) and Four (2014) which all debuted atop the Billboard 200.

Niall grew up in Mullingar and attended St. Kenny’s National School, where he performed in plays and sang in the school choir. He attended high school at Coláiste Mhuire (Mary’s College), also in Mullingar.

In early 2010, a few months before his appearance on The X Factor, Niall supported Lloyd Daniels at the Academy 2 in Dublin. There are clips of his performance of Justin Bieber’s “Baby” at the concert on YouTube.

His parents, Bobby and Maura Horan, divorced when he was a child. He and his older brother, Greg, traveled back and forth between their parents’ two families before settling down with their father.

Known for his blonde beauty and his appeal to the boy next door, Horan has been romantically linked to other singers Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez and Hailee Steinfeld.
