The Homecoming: A Christmas Story is getting a much-awaited reboot for the holiday season this year. 2021’s most heartwarming television film, The Waltons’ Homecoming is presented by kathy ireland® Worldwide and executively produced by Sam Haskell.

Distinguished entrepreneur Kathy Ireland is the CEO and founder of the movie’s sole presenting sponsor. It is a world-renowned marketing brand and is recognized as the 15th most successful licensed brand in American history.

The TV film is the exceptional businesswoman’s way of spreading holiday cheer. Reflecting on what motivated her to green-light the production, the insightful individual shared, “There is so much programming in the world today that fails to encourage hope. After a challenging year, The Waltons’ Homecoming is our gift to America.”

Dubbed as a true American classic, the remarkable film speaks to the purest of values: faith, family, and love. In addition, it pays homage to its beloved predecessor, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. 

A stellar cast stars in The Waltons’ Homecoming, including Bellamy Young, Ben Lawson, and Logan Shroyer. Seven-time Grammy Award-winners Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. also appear in the movie as Sister Harriett and Brother William. Finally, Richard Thomas, the original John Boy, joins the group as the narrator.

One of the things that Kathy Ireland is most excited about in the project is the involvement of Emmy Award-winning producer Sam Haskell who is also the Chair and President of Magnolia Hill Productions at Warner Bros.

The Waltons’ Homecoming can be considered as Kathy Ireland’s love letter to American families never to lose hope despite these uncertain and unprecedented times. She has seen how difficult the past few years have been for American families. Because of this, the perceptive woman wanted to give them a memorable holiday that they will look back on fondly and cherish for a long time.

Aside from sponsoring the television movie, the business owner is also involved in other humanitarian initiatives and ventures. The dedicated philanthropist champions various causes, and she currently serves as the International Chair for The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. 

The nonprofit organization has an ongoing campaign through the Do It television commercials. It is a call to action for holiday support of nationalpcf.org.
